Special events should leave a lasting impression
on YOU, not on the earth.

In a recent survey, 67% of meeting and incentive planners said they have taken environmental considerations into account when making program decisions. Organizations are making intentional decisions to select “green” cities when choosing their convention destinations. And planners are asking facilities to provide evidence of environmentally sound practices before signing contracts. The meeting and convention industry is going green, and Tribble Creative Group is pleased to offer our clients many “green” opportunities to infuse social responsibility into every aspect of their special event. Here are just a few of the things that we are doing – as a company, and for our events:

Vendors
Our vendors are now examined as to their environmental and sustainable business practices. While this is not the final determining factor in vendor selection, this process begins the conversation on partnerships to create a greener event.

Facility Planning

When chosing a venue, we look at the environmentally friendly initiatives already in place, and encourage others to be implemented for the duration of our events, such as:

  • Recycling centers
  • Organic or locally-sourced food and beverage
  • Waste Management
  • Conference and expo carpeting
  • Shuttle or shared-ride opportunities

Printing and Products

In choosing “products” and printing sources for events, TCG selects vendors and items that adhere to more sustainable measures. Additionally, we source recycled papers and vegetable or soy-based inks for printed materials.

Exhibitor and Speaker Practices

TCG implemented the suggestion to reduce the number of paper-driven hand-outs by exhibitors and speakers.

Food Donation

Any food not served at our special events is donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, when applicable.
